Goals

Visual attention concerns the mental processes by which we shape visual information and prioritize its relevance for thinking and acting. The goals of The Attentional Neuroscience Lab are to understand the fundamental nature of these processes, how we use them in everyday life, and how their organization varies in different clinically-defined populations.

Methods

We are a cognitive neuroscience laboratory. As such, our work relies heavily upon event-related potentials (ERPs), which we record on-site via BioSemi ActiveTwo EEG systems.
